The magnificent cathedral is within walking distance of Dublin city centre and can be reached from there by car in three minutes. It is situated on the right of Wine tavern Street.
The great edifice was founded around 1030 as an original Viking church. In 1562 the nave roof wall collapsed and since the emergency repairs carried out then the north nave wall has leaned out by 18" and is known as "The leaning wall of Dublin".
Guests can see evidence of its chequered history by visiting the Treasures of Christ Exhibition and a superb video of the cathedral's colorful history. Royal silver plate is on display along with many artifacts relating to the Battle of the Boyne.
