Lovers of film and drama should not miss seeing the Film Centre which is partly designed in the style of an old cinema. It is a popular drinking place for locals and tourists alike and boasts two art house cinemas, a bar and a restaurant.

Thousands of movies are shown here as well as plays etc. The Irish Film Archives are stored at the rear of the building on Sycamore Street.

The venue is not visible from outside. It has three entrances, one on the corridor to Eustace Street, one from a passage at the side of the building
