Irish Breaks
The National Museum

Dublin's National Museum boasts exhibits dating from 7000 BC. It's collection is so vast that it is now split between the Kildare Street building and Collins Barracks at Arbour Hill.

Collins Barracks houses artefacts relating to decorative art, social and military history including fashions dating back to 1950 and items of economic interest.

The Natural History Museum at Merrion Street has a wealth of stuffed animals, skeletons and the remains of fish, now extinct but exclusive to the Ireland of the past.

The Museums are open from

10am - 5pm Tuesday - Saturday
2pm - 5pm Sundays and holidays

Admission is free
